From our first meeting with Mike we were sold on Custom Pool Pros and Paver Pros. We met with may other “custon” gunite pool installers who gave us the book to pick a shape from, not really custom when you pick a shape from a book. Custom Pool Pros designed a pool to fit our yard, budget and needs and provided us with a drawings of how it would look when its done. Custom Pool Pros handled all the paperwork for permits and once approved the work started Despite some rain dalays the whole project, which has grown from the original idea, is finished. Every time I had a change or question Tom was there to answer the question and provide his input and suggestions. Overal the experience has been great and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a superior quality “custom” pool. Just to touch on details, Tom’s guys are professionals, they take great pride in their work and it shows in every detail. They are very particular in everything they do down to the placement of each boulder or paver they place. We have already had a few parties and can’t wait to enjoy our new pool and patio for years to come. Custom Pool Pros handled our whole job from digging the hole, forming the pool, setting the slide, installing equipment, plumbing, placing the boulders around the slide, installing the perimeter fencing and all 3200sqft of paver pario surrounding our pool. This is a large expenditure and a permanent one, and I don’t regret one penny of the incredible backyard dream that Custom pol Pros delivered and I would recommend the to anyone looking for a superior “custom” pool and patio.

I hired Tom to design anb build our gunite pool based on recommendations from the firm that did our landscaping. In my expirience, pool builders are a sketchy bunch – I called no fewer than 4 companies for quotes. 2 never even bothered to show up to quote, 1 spent an hour measuring and never came back with quote, and the final one was at my house for 10 minutes, wrote a number on a piece of paper and handed it to me – no details on eqipment, lights, etc. Just a number and he left. Read other pool builder reviews and you’ll see the same. Tom showed up numerous occasions to discuss the pool’s function ( we are doing laps, playing with kids, just floating with a drink ? ) and ultimately he’s the one we hired. He hit every deadline, kept every promise, and has done a truly professional job for us. I probably could have spent less, but I am sure we would have paid in the end in lesser equipment, lesser quality, and more headaches. Pay now or pay later is what I always find in construction. I highly recommend Custom Pool Pros, and would use them again.

We love the backyard that Tom & his team built for us. We hired Custom Pool Pros to build a pool and patio in after soliciting bids from four other high-end firms. We visited several of their projects (complete and in progress). These were large, complex, highly customized installations and we were satisfied that they could easily meet our more modest requirements (salt water, gunite, custom plaster, stone patio, waterfall, lighting). Constant communication was required to ensure that CPP understood what we expected and that we understood what the builder had actually committed to doing. There can be gaps even between two honest parties. The back and forth was sometimes frustrating but ensured a good outcome. After a year of living with the completed project, we’re very happy with our decision to use Custom Pool Pros. P.S. After the last check had been written, a couple of problems became evident. At every step in the evaluation, troubleshooting, and resolution of these problems, Tom and his team were responsive and thorough. It’s easy to mess up at this point, and they didn’t.

The project I had in mind was a big one, and Toms professionalism and knowledge was soothing in a project that had so many moving parts. The experience could not have been better. The pool of course was the main focus for the yard and the two awards that it won form NESPA for design and build acknowledge this. But what I was most impressed about was the coordination and Custom Pool Pros ability to build the whole yard, including pool, patio, lighting, pool house, cement deck and tennis court.
